Does that work really need to be done?

When our mechanics make recommendations for repairs, your first instinct may immediately be that someone’s trying to rip you off, but mechanics are trained to assess a car’s condition to ensure that you don’t run into costly repairs later on down the road that could end up costing you thousands. When our mechanics make recommendations, they are reasonable. Let’s put urban legend mechanic horror stories aside.

Why should I change my engine oil and filter every 3 months or 3,000 miles?

Over time, engine oil loses lubrication and viscosity and it collects acids and other by products. Substances like these are enemies of bearings, seals, gaskets and more. When you change your oil every 3 months or every 3,000 miles this is good insurance against possible damage.

Why should I have my belts and hoses replaced?

Typically, belts and hoses won’t need replaced until at least 60,000 miles, but replacing worn belts reduces your risk of breakdowns and damaging other components of your vehicle.

Why should I have my tires rotated and balanced?

We recommend that you rotate your tires every third oil change or at approximately 9,000 miles. When you have your tires rotated and balanced, this helps give your tires a longer life. You’ll want to pay attention to the tread patterns on your tires and observe that the wear patterns are equal.

Why should I have my cooling system flushed?

We recommend having your cooling system flushed at least once a year if your vehicle is driven regularly. Over time, your coolant will break down and become corrosive which can cause failure of gaskets. Having your coolant system flushed is all part of preventative maintenance!

Can I drop my car off early or later outside of business hours?

Yes, you sure can! We have a secure drop box for keys at both of our locations, Eastern and River Drive!
